Please feel free to add any new routes or whatever. Also, note that the grading is really rough, and probobly way over in places. Magnus

Thought I'd add the background comments here as advised by Mike

Hi Magnus,

Nice Topo which is probably long overdue. Thought I'd add some background for you. The area has been used for bouldering for quite a while, I first found out about it from the guy who used to own Pinnacle Mountain Sports in Kirkcaldy about 3 years ago & he reckoned it had been used extensively before he found out about it. Also a small point but it's Ravenscraig not Ravenscrag. The castle itself belongs to Historic Scotland but does not have a permanent curator so has nothing to do with the Parky. There is a newly painted sign on the side of the castle crag warning of Loose Rock so it might be adviseable to leave that one alone. Good advise on the use of brushes though as the rock is pretty soft, nothing to stop a bit of dry tooling on the walls between the the coves though! Hope I dont have to wait around for a bit of boulder practice now

Bill

What was the reason for deleting all of the information? The comment just says 'Spelling' and it is marked as minor.

Mike Lauder

Ohhh sh!t... how do i undo that???? total whitey, that wasn't ment to happen! all i did weas change the spelling on two words and add in a < br>! Can you fix it back to the old version somehow? Sorry about that!!! Magnus

Sorted, Mike Lauder

So, when does this get a spot on the FP? After all, Dom's wolfcrag guide got it, and wolfcrag is pish compared to thah Ravy. ;) Magnus

Did the Spelling issue get sorted - Ravenscrag .V. Ravenscraig? Does this page need to be renamed? Susan Guest

Yeah, it needs to get renamed, but i dunno how to do it. All "ravenscrag"s should be turned to "ravenscaig"s. Can you do that for me? Magnus

Yeah - done! Susan Guest

yay ^.^ Magnus

Cutting off information.

Okay, i seriously don't understand whats going on! every time i click "minor change" and then hit preview again... it deletes all of the information, like what happened last time! luckily I noticed this time, but does this happrn on other pages too? you shoudl probobly let people know about this bug. Magnus

A hidden GERM - love it! Mike Lauder

Hola

Was bouldering at Ravenscraig this weekend past and thought it worthy of noting (perhaps as an amendment to your guide?) that the holds on "No rest for the wicked" have crumbled beyond hope.

Alas, they are continuous with the sand on the beach :(

pretty much we are lazy and want no responsibility or power - we get round that by letting everyone else do stuff :)

That sucks. That was a fun problem. That yellow rock really is soft. :/

Hey Magnus! this is davids brother Ed, btw. I'll be in Kinloch again soon, and throughout the summer, if you fancy a climb sometime :)

Yeah, suckful. Some other routes are looking a bit crumbly in parts too. Tasty problems you've set there. Hopefully I'll be able to climb them all one day.

Bests
