Smoo Caves

The Smoo Caves are limestone caves near Durness on the north coast of Scotland. They are a popular tourist attraction and you can take a boat trip inside for a small fee. The outer cave is a large sea cave, the inner caves are karst caves formed by the inflowing river.

There is a climb recoreded in the waterfall cave (severe) -accessed by abseiling in, then climbing out. As the name suggests it's best to do this in times of low rain when the waterfall is not running.
