Due to the Advent of SCwiki. I have decided to use this page as an opportunity to tell everyone a little bit about myself. Hopefully others will follow suit and we can reduce the anonymity that has caused problems on Scottish Climbs Forums before.

My name is Alan McDonald, Al is my SC user-name. I'm 22 years old and have been climbing for about 8 years. Married this year to Stace, we live in Renfrew with our collie Dave. I enjoy Trad, Sport's, Bouldering, D.T., Mixed and Traditional Winter Climbing I DO enjoy new routing, I DONT enjoy walk-ins!

Last season I clocked up a lot of trad miles, but now Im working on my winter disciplines with a view to heading to the world cup.

I dont tend to worry to much about grades so long as the climbings good but generally, E3/4, F7a, Font6b, VI/6, M9 is my terrain.

I work the most horrible shifts in the world at Glasgow Airport, which makes training or even finding a climbing partner almost impossible!

Generally my climbing partners are Sir and Kev7 off SC.
