The new all Scottish sport climbing film 'Chains' is finally ready for launch. Filmed over one year by Glasgow filmmaker Pete Murray (famous for several EMFF short films) 'Chains' chronicles the nature, spirit and philosophy of the Scottish sport climbing movement over the last 25 years. A variety of routes and climbers are featured in the film from all over Scotland. Some very special footage is included of the first ascents by Dave Macleod of Scotland's first sport routes to be graded French 8b+ and 8c!

The Cotswolds store in Glasgow is hosting the launch event and exclusive preview screening starting 7.00pm on Wednesday 26th October. Entrance is free and your can bring along your own refreshments alcoholic or otherwise.

John 'Stone Country' Watson will be showing a feature on new bouldering developments; Paul Diffley from 'Hotaches' is previewing excerpts from their mixed climbing film and Joanna George is presenting a slide show and talk on the new sport climbing guide.

The full version of 'Chains' - with extras on the first ground-up ascent of the awesome Dalriada E7 6b, Scottish bouldering and dry-tooling - will be available on specially priced DVD.

'Chains' will be available shortly on-line from www.cordee.co.uk and all good climbing shops or by contacting Pete Murray directly.
