An interesting piece of rock, with square orange roofs and smooth black slabs, above a v cut and sometimes sea filled channel. Routes are affected by the tide.

Directions & Approach

End of the descent slab

Grid Ref: NG 889 976

Park in the Mellon Uridgle beach car park, reached from the A832 by the road which starts next to the petrol station/post office in Laide. Walk into the village and go straight on up the track where the road bends right (passing the house named after the Isle of Lewis - Le├▓dhas). Where the track bends left and becomes the driveway for the house with the disused swimming pool, go straight ahead again along a rougher track. Near the end of the track head rightwards and follow the coastline for 5-10 mins to the crag. The crag is hard to spot from above, but look out for the large easy angled descent slab with the distintive rock formation shown in the photo on the left at its seaward end. 15-20 mins for the whole approach.

Described right to left.

Technical and a bit tenuous.
