Hotaches Team - 10/10/2005

Cavewoman (14 min): Scottish climber Fiona Murray has taken a career break to climb full time. She spends the whole winter season living and climbing in the Canadian Rockies. Fiona becomes obsessed with a route called 'Caveman', a classic hard mixed climb. When it was first climbed five years ago it was considered to be one of the hardest routes in the world. A humorous and inspirational tale for every female who has ever felt intimidated in the often testosterone dominated mountain sports arena. For blokes a fascinating and funny insight "though the looking glass". Cavewoman is taken from the new Hotaches DVD All Mixed Up which is out in November 05.

Cavewoman is being screened at the Edinburgh Mountain Film Festival (EMFF). The festival runs from Friday 21/10/05 to Sunday 23/10/05, Cavewoman is been shown as part of the Sunday night session. Dave and I will be introducing the film in our traditional nervous and shaky style!

Tickets are available from Tiso and Alien Rock; the evening sessions do sell out so if you're keen make sure you grab a ticket early.

The full program for the festival is available online at: www.edinburghmountainff.com

We'll be about for the whole festival and there's loads of great films been shown over the weekend. Also, this year sees the first 'Official EMFF Party' on the Saturday night; this should be a good night so if you fancy it grab a ticket. (details on the EMFF website).
