Was up at Ardvorlich Crag just north of Inveruglas yesterday. Whilst trying to park discreetly in the area recommended in the SC guide, I was informed by the B&B owner that parking on the land by the barn or otherwise is no longer tolerated. The nearest spot otherwise is a layby 150m back down the road. Its only small so take care parking your car. I would also suggest crossing straight over and jumping the fence into the field from here as the road to the farm is narrow and high sided - felt like a gauntlet! Hope this is useful...

Sorry forgot to mention also, I tried to add a basic topo to the guide for this venue earlier but the system wouldnt upload my jpg, any ideas?

I had that jpg problem too. I saved the picture as a .gif which seemed to work.

Thanks for the info!

Cool - I'll take that info out of the guide. Can someone who's actually been write a new description in of the best place to park now.

I went there in June to check access for the forthcoming SMC guide, Scottish Sport Climbs, and had a chat with the B&B owner who was hostile at first but mellowed (problem with wild camping). The parking place is 350m south from the B&B entrance and though small, holds a couple of cars easily (NN 3266 1170). That was the nearest I could find but if anyone knows of better? I approached by crossing the stream close to the B&B entrance and going up its right bank and under the railway line. Might not work if the stream was full.
