V-grades versus font grades

We should try and get a consensus for this. My vote goes to font grades. Would like to hear people's opinions.

Stick with the French I say, V10+ never did quite fit.

I prefer V grades but probably because it's a simpler system, but it all depends on how much you want to split hairs when it comes to particular problems. What I mean is do you want a rough idea how hard the thing is, or are you chasing a coveted grade/tick.
