Yellow Crag

The small crag next to the A1 to Drem Road. A few routes are recorded in the SMC Lowland Outcrops guide. South facing the crag gives a pleasant couple of hours entertainment but would improve through the removal of abundant gorse at the foot of the crag.

Getting there

Drive north for 1 km from the A1 and you will see the crag on the right. Drive on for 100metres(ish) to a large layby on the left.

Takes the centre of the obvious buttress left of the routes mentioned in Lowland Outcrops. Climb the short vertical wall to a hanging slab. Mantel over the bulge above using a good hold and the run it out like a kettle flex up the faint groove to the top of the crag. Possibly a gift at this grade...
