The new operators of the Adventure Centre have agreed to permit the World Youth Championships to go ahead at Ratho from 9-12 September.

The event was in jeopardy until last Friday, but with just 4 weeks to go, they have appointed organisers to help make it happen. It is expected that between 300 and 400 climbers, aged between the ages of 14 & 19, and from more than 30 different countries, will compete over the 4 days in Difficulty and Speed. The Speed event will be run on 2 parallel routes on the 'Tower Wall' and will be a head to head knock-out format.

The organisers are looking for volunteers to help pull the event together: to do everything from photocopying results, moving furniture to pointing spotlights at the competitors.

If you are able to pitch in, download the application form and send it back to the organisers.
